Sound Interruption & Dragging Computer

Hello- A few weeks ago, I was given the link to download LimeWire when i was having issues connecting with the 360ProShare. Since then, I have been progressively having worse issues with my computer dragging more and more as well as choppy sound on my computer when playing ANY music. I had this exact problem when I bought music through iTunes this year and had to do a system restore and get it off of my computer. I love this program but am very frustrated because I ran Norton Anti-Virus yesterday and am still having the same problems. It DID correct my LimeWire connection issues I was also having, however. I desperatey do not want to end my use of the program but do not know what to do. The slowness of my new computer is hampering my job and I can't go another day like this. Should I run Spybot or some other program to see what is haunting my system? Thank you for your time!

Sounds like you have a problem with java Try uninstalling java, then reinstall
using the off line installer not the (recomended) one, jre1.5.0_09 is the up to
date version. Important! OFF line installer.
Let me know how you get on.

I tried to find Java on my programs by going to add/remove programs and it was not listed on there. Is this the correct location or would it be under any other name? To clarify...is jrel1.5.0_09 the version you recommend and can I find that on the internet? Also...what do you mean by OFF line installer? I learn quick but need to be told once. Thank you! :)

Oh, boy! I found Java on my hard drive. It is the _06 version I just downloaded yesterday via LimeWire's recommendation. According to what you said, this was not the correct version to download. Now do I just remove that and do a search on the net to find the new version to download?
