How did you uninstall LW? Doing it thru add/remove programs can stuff things up. The correct way is via start > all progs > LimeWire & then use the uninstall option. You could reinstall LW (that should remove the old version automatically) & then uninstall the right way...see how that goes.

Does the error message keep popping up all the time? When you had LW installed, was it also popping up all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that was the case, it sounds like a virus. Uninstalling LW won't get rid of the virus.
