Running Source code Problem

I'm tring to run the source code, I read the README doc, I can't find anything on this in the form or the FAQ. I get the following error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClass. DefFoundError: com/limegroup/gnutella/Main

Did you compile the source code ?

Did you compile the source code, you cannot run the source code
without taking this step. If you compiled the source code
you might have you classpath broken. See your java documentation on how to modify the classpath your jre uses.
