Slow...
 

When just starting, limewire runs fine. After about 30 minutes it's getting really slow and starts eating up (too much of) my system performance. I just have a new system, Pentium 4, 1Gb of memory (Dual channel), and 2 SATA harddisks. Fast enough I should say. Problem might be I'm sharing a lot of files (about 25Gb of music) and a similar amount of other stuff, but thats what limewire is all about, isn't it?

Try cutting down to 3,000 shared files. If this takes care of your problem, increase gradually until you run into trouble again.

My shared music folder has more than 10.000 files already... And i have another file I would like to share... Is this really a limitation of Limewire?+
