Exclamation Automatic open (Please help!!)

Whenever I turn on my computer, limewire opens automatically, it not only slows down my computer, but it bothers me! Sometims it opens then minutes later, it closes and re-opens. When I installed limewire, I hit next where it said to open automatically by accident. Now I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

Let's say I'm playing a game, like sims or something. Limewire would close by itself, that's ok. But then, it re-opens and messes up the game I'm playing. I am then FORCED to close my game with out saving, and it really irritates me. I would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy if someone helped me. pweas??

Also my music always goes REALLY FAST when I play it, so it sounds like a chimpmunk, but that doesn't really matter!

Please don't double post.

In LW tools > options > advanced > system startup. Untick the box to run on system startup > apply > ok.
If it still opens randomly, see post #6.

And for your chipmunks...

When LW pops up all the time (not just at system startup) & refuses to stay closed, it's usually caused by a worm.

Try the easy fix mentioned at the end of point 2 below, it's worked for a lot of people.
WARNING: Viruses on the network you should be aware of

If you need more help, there are links to sites in point 5 (Norbiesworld has helped a lot of LW users, but at the moment there's a long wait for help).

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan downloaded files before you open them
