IP Ranges Help Filter Hosts Not Working
 

I need help blocking ip ranges in the "Filter Hosts" section, i have tried to block ip ranges before using the syntax stated but it never seems to work, and so i now have a massive list of ip ranges which i think is now slowing down my search results (i could well be wrong and this may be another issue). If someone could help that would be great, as a test could someone tell me how to block ip ranges from 1.*.*.* to 9.*.*.* all inclusive, do i have to type it in the normal filter hosts section or in the Bad Ip Addresses section in the limewire.props document??
