Default ttree.cache

Hi one and all!
I just joned up, so this is my first post <takes a bow>.
Ok, i would like to know what exactly ttree.cache stores and where from and also when its added to/deleted from etc.
Also, how do i read the file, i can make out the urn:sha1 but thats it, ideally i would need times and dates!
Any help would be super fab!
