You could try to use a different media player such as the free VLC player with built-in codecs which can play almost all media files without problems. You can download it from here:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
As a side note, to preview files with it you'll have to open the files directly from the Incomplete folder and not via the LW preview function. Just then do not allow it to make any changes on the file, because then LW won't be able to continue with the download.

Well,...then the file might be indeed corrupted. Did you try any other file with that file extension????

If others work with the VLC player, then the one that doesn't is definitely corrupted.

First of all, I would recommend Bitzi for checking movie files!

How to use Bitzi

If you really want this particular file, you could try a program called Video Fixer. I used it once before for a file that wouldn't play and it turned it into a new file that would play!

Good Luck
