Playing movies
 
I need to know how to switch my player. i have a windows Vista and most of the movies I download will not play on windows media player because of a codec. I downloaded divX player or whatever but how do I get them to open with that or another player? Or how can i use wind. media player, but get them to play and recognize the codec? PLEaSE RESPOND ASAP please:) Thanks

What ever player you decide to go with you can make it your default player by right clicking on one of your files
Select open with
Select choose program
select the player of your choice
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK...

The VLC player is one of the best for playing all file types...
