You bought Pro 2 years ago...your email address won't be in the database any more. When you buy Pro from the official site, you're entitled to free upgrades & email support for 6 months.

Whatever versions you download during the 6 months are yours to keep using for as long as you like. However, if you want to update after the 6 months, you'll have to pay again.

Yes I purchased it from this sight. At least what I believe to be as this is where I was sent to upgrade. Does it matter what version I used to reinstall with? I used the 4.12.11 version which was about the 5th or 6th update.

You can reinstall whatever version you like.
I've got no idea why you were being prompted to upgrade...Pro is the upgrade & if you reinstalled 4.12.11...that's the latest stable release

Unless you've somehow got a basic version & you're being prompted to upgrade to Pro.
