Codecs, Can anyone help?

Hello,

Please help me if you can.... :wai:

I recently had to do a system restore back to the factory settings and load all of my programmes back onto my pc, this obviously took all my documents and codecs....

I have never had any problems with Limewires movies before so didnt think I would this time, but all the movies have green blobs all over them, I can hear the voices of the characters but the green doesnt make for pleasent viewing.

I have tried downloading some codec packages from limewire but Norton wont let me use them as it thinks they have viruses so I wont go there, I have also looked around on the internet for free downloads but this hasnt helped my situation.

I am trying to get the [edit] series for my partner and I cant get it to go right.

Does anyone know where I can get packs of codecs that are reliable and good? As I just seem to be wasting time and space on my pc at the moment.

Hope someone can help me,
Laura x :bangh:

This codec pac is excellent for XP http://www.xpcodecpack.com/

Or even easier download the VLC player it plays just about all file types and has all the codecs pre-installed...If VLC doesn't play it there's something wrong with the file...:rolleyes_2:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

To make VLC your defrault player....
Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of your movie files
Select open with
Select choose program
select VLC
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK
