| LimeWire 2.0.4 vs 1.8c search effectiveness I have recently installed version 2.0.4 and the corresponding j2re. The problem that I am seeing is that searches on this latest version only return a small subset of results compared to the previous 1.8c version. Here is some information that may help. As far as I can see the two setups are identical. I am not a freeloader. I have rebooted the PC. I am running Windows 2000 with SP2 installed. Norton Anti Virus, ICQ, AIM and ZoneAlarm run constantly in the background. I have started the newer version first, then in a second test, the older version first, but this has made no difference. I am out of ideas, but if you want me to try anything further, please let me know. Regards AndyT |
