Question Common Problem?

i am trying to ban host ranges in limewire. Does the example "192.168.12.16/28" band that range i.e 16-28 or just the ips 192.168.12.16 & 192.168.28. whatever i try for ip ranges it just doesnt seem to work at all. My first of many is to try ban ips 2.6.190.56 - 2.6.190.63.any help would be brilliant thanx. if any additional information is needed just ask

Are you sure.... SURE... That you don't have a LOCAL AREA NETWORK problem ?

The 192.x.x.x IPs you mention are not external.

And, muy importante... WHAT AV and/or Anti-Dataminer software are you using ?

AND, EVEN MORE Important... Maybe... Is your connection 'Dynamic' or 'Static'?

The 192.x.x.x numbers you mention refer to YOUR machine and perhaps others conncted to your Local Area Network... LAN...

The other IP numbers relate to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
It is the latter numbers that will be the problem, UNLESS you are one of others on a LAN/router connection where you must all have distinct addresses. If you are 'sharing' - trying to - one of the "192.x.x.x numbers - than, you got probs...

If your "Preferred DNS Server"
& "Alternate DNS Server" details are not correct---- nada gonna happen !

Default example

hola, sorry for the confusion, the 192's were just examples nothing to do with my problem. They are stated in the limewire ban hosts section. For a real example i wish to ban ips 9.20.0.0 - 9.20.127.255. But i dont know how to write it specifically other than just every single ip change 9.20.0.1 9.20.0.2 etc... gracias
