My mp3 files keep changing into exe files or zip files, help!

I download music from limewire. I put it into my windows media player and then listen to it. The next day I get on the computer, (either after I have gotten on the internet or shut it down), and go to listen to it on windows media. It says it can not play, that the files has been messed up or something. I found out that the music has been changed from a mp3 file into an exe file or zip file. I tried clicking on the zip file link to get it to open up and it says the file is messed up still.

I don't know what to do. I keep having to download the music over and over and its really bugging me now.

It never used to do it before. But I think I messed with some settings on my computer some were and now its all freeky.

Can a girl get some help here?

Sounds like you have a virus/worm.

Update your AV & do a scan, see if it finds anything (maybe a worm Delf.ATB). Or you can try AVG Free AV...that should find it.

Download AVG, update it, scan your computer.
Search the forum & you'll see other people have had this problem...AVG has fixed things for the majority

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & scan all files that you download before you open them
