Putting files back into my Library I clicked on refresh and it took all my downloads out of library and now they are in my program files under limewire. How do I get them back into my library? I have Windows XP with cable connection. Thanks in advance for your time!! :yikes: |
Hi RaeRae, Check the file extensions...have they changed to zip or exe? If that's the case, sounds like you're infected. Try using AVG Free AV...that should find the culprit. AVG Free Advisor: AVG Anti-Virus Free Download AVG, update it, scan your computer. Search the forum & you'll see other people have had this problem...AVG has fixed things for the majority ;) Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & scan all files that you download before you open them:eek: If you need more help, try one of the sites below. avg I have the best AVG money can buy...my files did not disappear until I clicked "refresh". I still have them and can watch them. I just have to go to my program files to do it. :) I checked them and nothing has changed. They are in my limewire file in program files. |
Have you tried restarting LW? Check the location of your saved folder. In LW tools > options > saving shows you the location. By default it's C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Shared. Have you changed the location of that saved folder? If you haven't changed the location of your saved folder, try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 below (also point 2 if you've used much older versions of LW in the past...could be a folder in either location). Fixes for LimeWire This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through & reset things afterwards. Sorry for the Vista comment that you'll see in your email notification...I can't read today!!! |
Moving files back to the Library Quote:
Yo can use Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) to move or copy downloads anywhere you want. If you know where they are now you must be somewhat familiar with this tool. You also can use the Limewire Tools/options menus to add any folder you want to the Limewire Library. |
