how do you view a downloaded film?
 
hi. i downloaded **** and when i launch it in the media player all i get is the audio and the abstract pics like when u play a song. the file type is avi(?) can someone tell me how to watch the film! any useful help will be rewarded!

Sounds like you dont have the correct codecs installed. Try downloading the Klite codec pack or VLC media player, that should work.

Lacking the right codecs to play the video. We normally recommend this player: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) because it has in-built codecs. However, if you insist on using WMP then see CODECs list and alternate players for Movies

Oops looks like I was slow to post. lol :D

But if you do decide to use VLC, then see this Setting Default video app
