| Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the windows w32.polip virus. Every second time I run limewire I seem to download this virus inadvertently (I only download .mp3 files from the LIME network). It then proceeds to stop my internet working and open a whole bunch of connections to toadface.bishopston.net. I have to shut down the internet, run a very virus programs then restart my system. This usually works, but does anyone else have a suggestion on how I can make my system less vulnerable to this virus? I'm running AVG and Norton Antivirus. I'm firewalled. I've got wireless internet running at about 67kbps. Windows XP Sp2. Thanks. |

| My suggestion would be not to run two AV's together as they may well make your computer more vulnerable... I think you are not getting rid of the virus and it still lingers somewhere in your computer.... You should take a visit to one of these sites and post a HighJack this log and get the experts to give it a look, they will give you advice on how you should proceed... ![]() SpywareInfo Forum FAQ - SWI Forums Bleeping Computer - Computer Help and Discussion
