problem with limewire

I can't delete some of my download files (music and program) in limewire. A message tell me that'a the files are use by an application or protect. I would like to know how to delete them.
Thank you for your help.

Some people are reporting that this action is not working, so if your desperate and nothing works, try this link that Brian gave.

Quote:

I found a simple way to get rid of unwanted files - use an Uninstaller program. One that works great and you can try for free is put out by McAfee. Their address is: http://software.mcafee.com/products/.
Let us know if it does :)

about your question...

Infact you cannot delete your shared files while Limewire is running, or even minimized, that is because LImewire has protected the folder, because it has published your list for others to find shared material easier, so if you keep changing list, it only makes it harder for everyone.
However each time you launch Limewire, your list is updated..

note:

the update may take as long as 30 minutes, to completly match what is in your shared folder..this is a common reason for getting the "file not found" during an attempted download..
