The wireless adapter that you're using doesn't have a firewall. But if you're connecting wirelessly through a router or modem-router, that might have an internal firewall. To check, go to the other computer & see what devices are plugged into that. Maybe another D-Link device?
| yes birdy, this pc is connected wirelessly with another D-link device, because cox's cable internet connection is wired from that remote pc.. thanks for bearing with me birdy.. but as another favor, can you tell me how and where i could find that firewall culprit?.. is my d-link a router?.. the remote d-link is a modem-router?..  |
