Connection problem

I installed LimeWire and it installed JRE for me. Everything went okay the second go-round until I tried to open LimeWire 2.0.4.
It took me directly to my computer's Control Panel. I am confused as to what happened can anyone give me some ideas or suggestions on how to fix it? I'd be very appreciative,
