my limewire has stopped working
 

Thanks everybody for helping each other it really does work
I have had limewire on my computer for years and it was workin excellant
I had a friend come over and try and help me speed up my computer
he said too many unused programs, so started removing programs from windows
When he clicked to remove one program I rmember it saying 'this may interfere with other programs working properly'
before i could write down what it was it was gone
that was a few weeks ago, now limewire dosnt work
would anyone know what i can do to restore limewire?
I have removed limewire and reloaded still not downloading
when i go to search the message comes up 'limewire is currently connecting to the internet your search my not return many results til you are fully connected'
I am connected cause I can browse the web
Any help would be appreciated

1. Errors due to mistakenly uninstalling LW using Add/Remove control panel - what to try now. Read from here onward!

2. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Limewire wasn't removed by my friend just a few other progams that i think havve interfered with the smooth running of limewire
should is till remove it limewire again then run the ccleaner program?
then reinstall

Yes, CCleaner is a good trusty utility. You can try reinstalling LW or else, use the alternate version. Reinstalling normally removes the previous version. :)
