The LW media player can be very slow to work. So wait a few mins if necessary. Though it shouldn't take that long. LW's primary purpose is downloading & uploading so that's where the majority of the cpu is targeted at. The media player gets a lower priority & thus can be slow to work. Try using the media player after you open LW & have waited for the library to load, without downloading anything & see if it works then. If it works, then it will work when you are downloading but remember to be patient for it to start playing.
