![]() Windows xp LimeWire 4.12.14 i dont know what i did wrong. i recenty re booted my computer to factory settings because of a worm. i was able to completely remove the worm however now there is a problem with limewire (and mozilla firefox alike) when i start limewire i get an error notice "limewire was unable to write a necessary file because you do not have the necessary permissions. Yout preferences may not be maintained the next time you start LimeWire, or LimeWire may behave in unexpected ways." is htere anything wrong? |

![]() Make sure you are the administrator for the account you want limewire installed... Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...To find the offline installer, use the link below > cancel the installer window when it pop's up and then select the offline installer link... Lime Wire » Download LimeWire If that does not help try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should
