Default Change location of stored files

Can someone please help?

All my Mp3s are currently stored on my E drive (160 GB), but the Mp3s that I download by Limewire get stored on my C Drive (C:\Program Files\LimeWire). I would like these downloaded files by default to get stored in my E drive.

How do I adjust the setting on Limewire (Is it possible?)

Thanks

You can change the location of your saved folder/files by opening LW and going to Tools>Options>Saving>Basic. You can change the location of the entire folder or the location of the different categories(audio, video, programs, ect), by clicking on them and browsing to the new location.

Cool Placing All The mp3 files under 1 category

Hi everyone,

This is all new to me, so that's why I'm here. In my library, I have downloaded a number of music files which at one point they ended up at various locations instead of what I believe the default setting is the LimeWire Shared folder. I now notice that some music files are in my Windows Media Player folder, and then duplicated in the Saved Files/Audio folder.
My question is, how do I get all the music files in the Shared folder only. I tried to click and drag, but this didn't seem to work. I am running Windows XP. Very frustrated. Please respond with detailed instructions.
Thank you
Proline

Open LW and go to Tools>Options>Saving and see where your files are saved to. By default the location of your saved folder and shared folder are the same. They're not two different folders, unless you change it. The location is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared. All your downloaded files will go to this location unless you manually change it.

The files you see in your WMP are probably just a playlist and not the actual file. Playlists are links(shortcuts) to the actual file. When you play a file in WMP it gets added to the playlist automatically. Hope this helps .
