Limewire Doesn't Start
 

Hi, I've come to these forums looking for some help with Limewire. When I try to run Limewire, the loading window briefly comes up, where a horizontal bar should be moving across, but the bar doesn't appear, and it closes after a few seconds. The same exact thing happened when I tried to use Frostwire. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it many times, but nothing worked.

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

If that doesn't fix it, then see below:
2. Use your add/remove control panel to remove all versions of Java. Then install Java 1.5; Java 1.5 (take the JRE)
