![]() I have had Limewire loaded and it was working successfully for many months. I recently upgraded my McAfee software and loaded McAfee firewall. I now get the 'brick wall' I assume indicating a firewall exists and only one green bar (connection). I never get any results now when searching. I was using Zone Alarm as my firewall. Often McAfee would freeze after running for several minutes. McAfee suggested I uninstall Zone Alarm and load their firewall to eliminate the problem. I have read other thread concerning firewalls and Limewire's suggestions. I have tried the following: (1) Set the rule in McAfee firewall to allow Limewire access to the net, (2)Turned off McAfee Virus Scan and Firewall. (3) deleted the C:\Windows\.limewire folder, (4) set my listening port in Limewire to 64049, (5) disabled ultrapeer. I have not tried changing Java versions since it was working fine before. What else can I try? Please give me some recommendations. The following are responses to the qustions on my system setup: 1. OS version? Windows 98SE 2. What firewalls you have? McAfee 7.1 3.
