Download Files Turn Into Folders :confused:Hello: Over last month find some of my many music files stored in D: Limewire, are changing to folders, containing album folder & WMP arrow icon file. No problem while building my playlists, but suspect these folders can't be shared by LW users trying to upload. Tried to change folders to normal WMP coloured arrow icon file both moving or copying file to D: Limewire, then deleting folders. Works while LW Library still selected, BUT after its closed and re-opened, folders come back. Have tried everything...still not fixed. Separate question: if I update to later version of LW in future, is everything set same or does it have to be configured. My system: home, Win XP Pro, 1400MHz clock, 1.28G SDRAM, 30G free, config to 2005 Sticky-Leeware, Eastlink ISP at 5Mbit down/1Mbit up, LW 4.13.6. Someone out there must have possible answers, PLEASE! Thanks in advance, caseybob |
Why does some songs download in a folder and some a file ? |
Reply to kjhutchens re LW Library problem Refer you to 4 week old post directly above yours with same problem. Note that I supplied my system info so others could help...its a MUST every time you post. You can see from that Post that opening folder, copying WMP arrow file to LW Music Files Folder (which I assume you have already set up and is your designated destination for all downloads), then deleting folder doesn't work...folder comes back. Suggest you create new LimeWire 2 music folder, copy Folders to there, then open to WMP arrow file, copy it to your original LW download destination folder, then delete Folder in LW 2. It may work...don't know your set-up. Before you try any of above, download latest version - LW 4.14.2; that may help. I did it the hard way and suspect there is a very simple solution known to more experienced LW members...hope they help. Good luck, caseybob |
