Deleting Files

Well. I've been using Limewire for awhile, and I was getting some good pictures for my forums. (I'll give you a link if you want, they're pretty good. :)) But anyways. Some of them, seem to be invalid. Don't know how else I could put it. Here's a screenshot of what I can do with the file. (It's not even a file, apparently, it's not .jpeg, or anything. While downloading it, it said it was, but apparently it's absolutely nothing..

Now. I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't need all my computer info, but in the stickie it said I should post it. So here goes..

1. Running Windows XP
2. I have Windows Firewall, and Speedstreams (Bell)
3. 2GB Ram
4. 7.9GB Space available
5. T1 (800kb-900kb, or so)
6. Router type is Speedstream, don't know modem..
7. I'm in my living room, connecting to the router across the room.

All the rest are router questions basicly, not having any problems with my router and/or internet.

Any help appreciated,

~Penguin

These (sometimes) undeletable bogus jpeg files are littered throughout the gnutella network and, I can only presume, put there for some no-good reason.

I suspect that these false files may contain viruses or or some sort of dangerous script, I remember that a year or two ago there was a lot of internet security news about false jpeg files containing viruses.

Anyway, in most cases you can use LW's library delete function to get rid of these files or you can use your shredding facility.

Finally, whenever you download one of these files then make sure you run your AV and anti-spyware before and after you delete them.

Well, I have done virus scans, it's nothing. Just..Nothing. My shredder function only works for things in Recycling Bin *Sigh*. Anyways. Thanks, I'll try using the LW Library Delete, after I find it..

*Edit*After finding it, worked perfectly. Thanks for all your help.
