Since there are no answers my assumption is that the new limewire pro will be updated and the problem it has will be corrected shortly.
Correct me if that is not true.

Processor 97% plus.

I have exactly the same problem using V4.14.3 and multiple downloads (3 or 4 ) using an AMD Sempron/NT200/SP4. The machine suddenly runs slow and processor usage goes to 97-99% and stays there.

This makes it difficult to shut down Limewire and makes the machine unuseable for multi-tasking.

I tried previous versions V4128 and V41211 but they were exactly the same.

Can someone from Technical Support please confirm that this is a known bug ?

Regards,

Ian

The developers know about this problem....You can follow the progress from the limewire.org forum...;)
4.14 using too much memory. Why? - LimeWire Forums

why is it whenever i click the monitor tab and try to chat with someone, 9 times out of 10 it says host unavailable

wondering why August 12th, 2007 02:01 AM

It can mean a number of things...
1. They have to have a version of limewire that supports the chat feature..
2. They may be Firewalled...
3. They may not be at the computer at the time.
4. It doesn't always work...;)

so, basically, you're Lucky if you can talk to someone.?. Oh well. i thought it would be an easy way to find a specific type of person.

Ok. So, why does it say("#"hosts tried)next to connecting when i try and download a file. Everytime it does, it ends up saying needs more hosts. It happens to Every [edit]movie i try to download. Even if the # is in the 90s. usually the higher the number, the faster it finds hosts and downloads.
I really appreciate the first answer I got.
Thanks.

thank you VERY much for these. A lot of stuff I have figured out but, obviously i am still being tricked by spammers. I didn't think they would have 700mb files.
Thanks again.
I have been using limewire for years and have just yesterday started looking in this forum.
