Limewire and Laptops

For some reason while using Limewire on my Laptop the program closes each time I shut the lid of the computer. I have had two different brands of computer, one with xp and the other with vista and it happened on both. I don't have the computer set to sleep or hibernate when I close the lid and all my other programs stay open.Has this happened to anyone else? Is it something that I can fix?
