Limewire updated and wont start :-|

This is gonna sound really confusing. My limewire worked perfectly fine before but an update came up and i clicked it, when downloading it i did something like *-) moved it to the wrong path or something. Anyways, it then brought up limewire 4.12 with the bar down the bottom from the new 4.14.8 one :-s so i realised i had somehow mixed them both in! Since then i have tried deleting both limewire and java and reinstalling them in both version 4.12 and 4.14.8 and am getting the same problem. The same thing is happening even if i system restore to a point when my limewire worked finee! Help me :-| i want my limewire back !!!! Thankyouuuuuuu

Having the same problem and have been looking for a resolution for over a week and support still hasn't replied! I feel it's a MAJOR bug in 4.14.x but can't get the response necessary to repair. I too have tried every single suggestion on getting 4.14.8 to work and none of them resolve the issue!

If you still have your 4.12 installer saved somewhere, I would suggest reinstalling it and using that until Limewire decides to fix this!

Try posting your questions over at the limewire org forums as some of the developers frequent there...;)

I spotted that after I suggested you go there, I also noticed that none of the Dev's have responded to your question yet...;)

LOL, That's because I'm an a$$! :D LOL But, seriously, I am shocked that they haven't! This seems to be a problem in a lot of situations and if it is an actual java issue, then that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later to work with the latest version of java too! :)

Been there, done that...
deleated and uninstalled everything to do with limewire.
uninstalled java also.
reinstalled everything and still won't work....
The people at limewire need to fix this asap! People are going to stop using the best p2p on the net if they don't fix it. And it all started with the 4.14.8 update I installed. now running the 4.12 verison at least it works somewhat.
