Go to your shared folder outside of limewire, to find this folder you need to select a file from your LW library and hit explore....

Then drag and drop the files in...

wondering why, you are an absolute star. In the past, to get my files into Windows Media Player (being a 'newbie') I right clicked on the file to play in WMP, it then went into the now playing list and then into the library. Not only have you made rubyrain very happy but me too...luya56

It sounds like a codec issue for you...

For XP this codec pac is very good
Download XP Codec Pack 2.0.8 - XP Codec Pack is one of the most complete codec pack

Or for Vista this pac
Vista Codec Package v4.4.7 Beta 4a (freeware)

You can also install the VLC media player, it has all the codecs pre-installed and can play just about all files...
VLC media player - Overview
