Limewire Problem: Bitrates not showing
 

Bitrates aren't showing on my limewire, so I can't check length/quality/ etc of files, and it might be dangerous to download them. Is this a problem with my computer/limewire or limewire is having a problem altogether?


DETAILS:

Toshiba laptop (Windows XP)
Limewire is V. 4.14.8
I've got about 6000 files on limewire, not that that should be the problem.

It's not your computer, some files don't show the bitrate. Possibly the id3 tag isn't filled out properly or maybe LW isn't reading it right. Be sure to check the file extension. Mp3's should be safe to d/load, stay away from any type of program files, exe, zip, ect.

If the file doesn't show a bitrate, try this. Right click on the file in your search results, go to "Search More" and then to "Keywords", and search for the file again. You should get results that have a bitrate listed for them.
