What's happening to my limewire? Help, PLZ!!!!
 

Something very weird happened to limewire last night. I am using 4.12.6.(basic)
This is what happened. I loaded limewire to download a new song, while typing the name into the search box, limewire shut itself down and automatically downloaded its new version, 4.14.10, I do not know if it is Pro or not, and if it is, I am not able to pay. I did not click anything for this to happen. Why did it do this? I can't even load ANY of them now... whenever i try, I get a weird message from Java. Can someone please tell me whaat's going on... and possiably how to fix it? Will a system restore on the computer help?

It wouldn't be a pro version you have, it would still be the basic..
Why this happened to you, I'm not real sure, what I do know is that limewire want everyone updated to their latest version and I guess they are resorting to this type of trickery know...

Many forum helpers here don't agree with what has been happening latley, regarding the update...;)

Onto your problem...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

Will try the Java download later when there is more time... this computer is very slow at that type of stuff lol. Grrr...what kind of low level trickery is this? Oh well, as long as it works.
