Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Should be Speedtouch 585 V6 7. Where are you trying to connect from? House 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Can't find since I cannot even use LW. 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Singnet 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? A white page with the words 'Your test worked' at the top left-hand corner. 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? My internet connection? If so, a wireless adapter for another computer is placed in my living room, and another computer, in living room, is wired to my router, in my room. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem with experienced user. 13. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Not sure. 15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? ![]() OK... This 'interruption' of mine with asking you about your C: Drive may not bear any direct relation to the problem you are now experiencing, so I apologise... BUT, can you please tell us what the total size of your C: Drive is declared to be ? Unless you are using a quite old computer I assume that your C: Drive is at least 40 or 80GB - And probably much bigger. If so, then you definitely have an extreme shortage of 'free' disk space... This will cause you many many problems. |
