dvd burn help

burning downloaded video files to dvd and only getting sound, no pictures ! Had this problem on my PC - this forum resolved that for me after downloading Cole2k - worked a treat. Now want to be able to watch video clips on my TV - via DVD player - files too big to burn to CDR so have to use DVD - have wasted a couple so far! Anyone able to help?
