Try going to Control Panels & open Add/Remove Programs Control panel. Click the remove tab. You should be able to find OneCare on the list of programs to remove. Select it & press remove.

Try using this utility to help clean your system: CCleaner - Home

McAffee & XP firewall do not work well together. Delete your XP firewall rule for LW & redo it. Windows Firewall - LimeWire. Then try running LW again. Give it a good 20 mins to try to connect.

If no good then: Try installing FrostWire (click on link) & try running FW to see if that runs. If yes, then close it & run LW.

If still problems, can you supply these details: System details - help us to help you (click on blue link)

Your problem is totally different. Why post it here? All you needed to do was create your own thread. Remove all Java versions you have now. Then Upgrade your java to 1.5_11 Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 using the OFFLINE installer.
