Default Windows keeps crashing when using LW

Help! I've been using LW with no problems for months. All of a sudden, any time I open LW and do a search or start a download, my pc either freezes or crashes! Is this happening to anyone else? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the lastest version.. but no luck. Help!

as a guess I would say that your machine has been infected....probably because of a program you downloaded and then installed...

Yeah.. that is what I assumed as well. However, I've run various virus scans and nothing comes up. My computer works totally fine as long as LW isn't open... ohwell If anyone else has any helpful info I'd appreciate it! Thx

I'll bet you a dollar to your dime that if you backup your important data, then reformat your HDD and do a clean install of your OS that this problem will be solved....and I bet you would spend less time doing that than figuring out exactly what went wrong!..at least that has been my personal experience when dealing with the fallout of a program (most likely spread by the RIAA/MPAA) that seems to be intended to make p2p use impossible

while YOU may not think this is constructive advice, actually it is...
