Default Limewire load's and then my screen goes white!

Hello everyone, I have been useing LimeWire for a while now and i never had this problem before. It happen to me one time earlier this year and is now happening more frequently.

My pc run's fine when i do not have LimeWire open. When i do open it, It take's a while to load the program and after that it take's a even longer time to load my music file's. After it start's loading and very slowly, i can not close LimeWire and then my cursour also can't move and then the screen goes white.

I have done a spyware, adware and virus search. I did in fact find a few of them. How ever, they have been removed. I am still in a process of doing a complete clean up simply beacuse i am waiting on an awnser about a scan.

But for time being, Can anyone tell me if they have had the same kind of problem? And how did you get rid of it?

I really would like to use LimeWire again without this probelm seeing as it alway's make's my pc crash.

Thank you for your time and help.

Hello Birdy,

Thank you for the link and information but that is not exactly what mine is doing. I'm sorry. I should be more clear. Let me explain.

After i load LimeWire, And it show's the upgrade to pro box with no problem. But after about a minute or two, it start's to make the screen go white. This happend also when i had LimeWire but was on a website.

It happen once on the website and as soon as i got rid of it, It had stopped. It only happen's if i have LimeWire installed. Or if i have it open. And while this is happening, I cannot close the program due to it locking up and my pointer will stop moving as well. Then she goes white from the edge's of the screen and then i have to turn off my pc in order to get back to what i was doing.

I have no idea what can be causing it because it happened only once before. I had checked thuroghly my pc for all spyware, adware and viruses and had got rid of everything.

So i am still confused as to why this would happen?....

Change your Java version & see if that helps. You can either try updating to the latest version here (I have this one & LW's working fine): Java SE Downloads
or try this older version, which has worked well for lots of people: Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
Whichever Java version you use, download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions before installing another one.

Ok. I will download Limeiwire and do as you said Ocdano. Maybe that can help.

Birdy, I have done that already. I had Java 5.0 to begin with and had uninstalled it and installed Java 6.0. It did this with 5.0 and 6.0.

Thank you for your help guy's. I appreciate it. I will let you know if it help's.

I tried this both method's. Not one of them have worked.

She install's. Load's the progrm and then when she load's my music, right before she finishes, She start's to slow down, Not respond and make the screen go white.

If you need more detail, ask me about what it is you would need to or like to know and i will tell you to the best of my knowledge.
