Question Status on CPU usage by Limewire

Like (I found out) many others in the past I experienced Limewire (version 4.14.0 with Java 1.6.0_02) using between 90 and almost 100% of my CPU on my Windows 2000 (latest updates) PC, even if I put priority low (using processexplorer).

I searched Google and read quite a number of postings (here and elsewhere) about the CPU usage problem.
But NOWHERE I found a real solution, all suggested solutions (like another javaversion or disabling certain options) I found just didn't SOLVE the problem.

Because a PC using almost 100% CPU for Limewire is out of the question I would like to know IF and WHAT solution has been found for that problem.
If not unfortunally I have to look for another program (and I'm quite sure others will do or did the same!).
