Applet still remains after exiting LW
 

Hi: Sometimes after I exit LW the "Please wait while LimeWire shuts down" applet remains long after the LW icon goes away, with the moving green bar. I think the thing is stuck and I can't turn it off. The only way I can get rid of it is to reboot my machine.

Can you help?

XP, 4.14.10 Pro, Java 1.5.0

Seems that your Java is a little out of date. Might try upgrading. See Links below.

Or try this older version, which has worked well for lots of people: Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
Whichever Java version you use, download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions before installing another one.
