![]() Pbar You do understand that when you use LW you are downloading and uploading a series of files, all at the same time. This, as you can imagine, is extremely disk intensive and that means your HD will be constantly working. That said, if you feel that your HD is being stressed more than usual then you could have a virus/worm/malware on your HD sending out info via the Internet without your knowledge or permission. Therefore, you now have two choices: 1) Do nothing and accept it. 2) Check if you have something in your PC that should not be there. Happy Hunting. UK Bob |

![]() Hi, thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I understand how Limewire works, been using it for years, and I'm a PC technician so understand 'stuff', don't let my first single post mislead you, I usually sort my own issues out. But I DO value your efforts. The hard drive access I mentioned is when I'm not downloading or uploading anything. It's just when Limewire is running. And I have no adware/spyware/malware Any ideas? Limewire open, but not down/uploading = mega hard drive access. |
