Avira Antivir

Antispyware etc:

Yes, I have Mcafee, and ClamWin, niether of them picked up anything. As soon as I click options the it comes up and disappears. I've installed Limewire three times and the same issue shows up. HELP:confused::confused:

Hmmm, one of the other members mentioned this problem being posted more and more...
Our normal fixes don't seem to be working, which makes us think it may be a new problem...
So if you could try a few things for us we might be able to get to the bottom of this...;)

Could you disable your Mcafee and download Avast or AVG and run a scan (after the scan uninstall the download)
Could you also download Ad-Aware, update it and run a scan...

Cheers, it would be really helpful...;)
Also what type of files did you download just before this happened...

Options Menu

I am also having the same problem, can't access the options menu.

Hopefully you have a solution to this problem

It seems it's a trojan and AVG is the one to pick it up and get rid of it...

So disable your current Anti-Virus program and download AVG, make sure you remember to update it before running the scan...AVG free

I have had this problem it is caused by what i think is the remains of a worm run msconfig and look in start up programs if you find windows\fonts\svchost. that is the cause you need to get rid of it . it keeps starting its self up. I had to start ivn safe mode and use system mechnic to remove it from start up. deleting it in msconfig when in safe mod did not seem to work. but once you get rid of it lime wire ask for a new download folder set one up. then go into libary in lime wire and delete the directory that is gose to font. hope this helps . PS get rid of the virus first and make sure your firewall is blocking the windows\fonts\svchost asap The Mekon
