How do I disconnect Limewire torrent

I decided to try limewire torrent but now find I prefer Azureus. But I cannot disengage limewire as torrent manager. Any advise on how I turn it off?

Find your torrent file you initially downloaded from the site, then right click & choose Azureus to open it with & choose always open with option. :) Mac uses use Command click & click the arrow for opening with. You will see other options mentioned there.

Thanks for the advise. Not sure though which torrent and site you mean. Can you elaborate?

I'm using Windows XP pro. Have specified that the file be opened with Azureus and it seems to have made Azureus as default but the file downloaded still seems to be a limewire torrent. And both my download and upload speeds are real low.

K cancel the file from the download window & also delete it from the incomplete folder. Then open the original torrent seed with Azureus.

I don't know about LW, but I do know that with Azureus, if your share ratio is below a certain amount such as 0.75 then the download may stop & just before that slows down incredibly. So making sure your ratio is up high is important. For LW I don't know. At least with Azureus you can change your options for how many to connect with, upload & download speeds, etc.

Also time of day can play a part, also some days are better than others. You may be waiting for someone else to download that extra bit & in the meantime you are sharing off them, etc.
