When I try to open Limewire, the title screen saying Limewire and the version pops up but then nothing happens. The actual program won't open. I tried downloading another program similair to Limewire just to see if would work and its doing the same thing as well. I checked my windows firewall and its off. I've tried the fixes as well but no luck. Any suggestions pleeeaasse!?

Try Uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 Offline version....

When I go to delete the older version of java there is also a program called java web start. Should I delete that as well?

Yes. Java Web Start appears to be a part of Java 6.
"Java Web Start is included in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) as part of Java SE 6. Download now." Delete and try the version in my post #2. You can always delete 5.0.11 and reinstall the version you have now if needed.
