Can you explain this "has to close" thing? You see, I have used LW for over 3.5 years now and I can look at the incomplete folder within LW and using windows explorer without any ill effects. Therefore, can you explain the exact circumstances that caused the reaction you are getting.

Well Wity

It seems that your installation of windows is suspect or something (like a virus) has got into your machine and is messing with your system. Your problem is definately nothing to do with LW.

I suggest that you backup your applications and data, after running an up to date AV scanner, then completely reformat your HD (perhaps several times) and reinstall windows.

Why are you trying to open an incomplete file in the first place?

Wity

Aaahhh Dell, you should have said so before. Those machines are so full of Dell's own proprietary drivers that if one of those things "goes south" your machine develops incurable problems.

Yep Dell drivers, I know what you mean, I had a guy working for me who decided to delete all the drivers off a Dell PC he was suppose to be setting up, I could not get the stupid thing to work until I got onto Dell and asked them to send me a copy of the deleted drivers.

I suggest that you call Dell's help desk, explain your problem and ask for copies of the drivers that may have become corrupt.
