limewire used to work on my computer

i had limewire pro, and then our free trial of avast! expired. i registered on avast! and a few days later, limewire didnt work anymore. i tried uninstalling limewire pro and switched to the basic limewire. it shows i'm behind a firewall so i tried to make an exception in avast! but i still can't connect to servers. i tried the microsoft firewall too but i didn't want to mess anything up on our computer.

if it helps, winmx and kazaa dont connect either.

any suggestions would be helpful. i'm tired of writing songs down that i want to download.
