Filename: *******************.PUKKA
File size: 700mb

tried k-lite mega codec pack, xvid codec packs, xp codec packs but still to no avail...

Try using VLC media player, it has the codecs built in and will play most file types. It's a good player to keep around for those stubborn files that you can't get to play.

It could also be that the file is corrupt/fake. Before d/loading videos, check them with Bitzi Web Lookup. It'll help you sort out the good ones. While on the Bitzi site, search for the file there and use the magnet link to start the d/load in limewire(I think you'll find the file you want listed).

Then search for it again in LW to help find some sources for the file.
Also preview the file when it gets to 10-15% to check that it's what the title says and not mislabeled porn.

What player are you using?

well i usually use wmp 11... or wmp classic..
is there a way to ask limewire to use a particular player to preview downloading videos?

Your files will launch in whatever your default player is for that file type. Though you can change the default player to something else.

Find your files in windows(not LW). The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\"you account Name"\Shared.

The easy way to find it is to start limewire and go to the library page, click on your shared folder and click the explore button. A window will open with your shared folder in it.

Right click on one of your video files and click on Properties > then click on "Change" > choose the player you want to use from the list > click OK > Apply > OK.

i have a similar problem with playback. my operating system is xp and when i playback most videos from limewire the music videos especially always seem to slow down for about 3 seconds or so, then speed back up to normal. both the audio and video do this. the default player i am using is nero 3.

I am new to all these and limewire..... so please pardon me if i sometimes sound like a 10year old.
I too downloaded a Xvid.PUkka and AXXo file and they both wouldnt play. So i can see it's fake.
Thanks for the info
