Searching but no downloading?

i just downloaded limewire about a day ago so i am new to it. my problem is that when i use limewire i am only able to search for songs, videos, and pcitures but it will not let me download them. It does not even show in the download queue list. if anyone could tell me what i am doing wrong that would be great. thanks in advance.
