Default Help Please!!! (LW keeps opening & can't access options)

There is something wrong with Limewire. Every time I shut it down, it opens up again. It's really irritating me . I even restart my computer but it still opens up. AND I tried going to Tools>Options. The option window comes up and closes like on 00.4 seconds every single time. I really need help and I will totally appreciate you guys helping me. Thanks

Miguel

Download AVG Free AV. After you've installed it, update it & then scan your computer...see whether that finds a nasty & solves the problem. There's a link for download in the thread below.

If that doesn't fix things for you, check the thread below for more fixes to try. If you're still stuck, this thread has links to sites that offer specialised help for malware problems

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan all files that you've downloaded before you open them.

Ahh, thank you so much. I will try using the AVG program. I also have the same problem with the weird ' folder containing thousands of random files. Does that really mean I can beat this? I'm worried that my computer will mess up.

If AVG & the fixes in those threads don't help, go to one of the sites in the second thread in post #2...they'll be able to help you clean up your computer.
